An emotional goodbye yesterday evening and a restless night's sleep in our Gatwick hotel last night was probably to be expected and we are up bright and early this morning ahead of our 11am flight to Vancouver. It's a ten hour flight so we'll land at 9pm UK time, though it will only be 1pm over there, which means our bodies will almost be ready for bed when we land. We'll get an earlyish night tonight but it's important to adjust to the new timezone ASAP. We are due to be picked up at 8am tomorrow morning to embark on our five day tour through the Rockies, but more about that over the coming days. We are both hugely excited but quite nervous too, just hope the first flight goes smoothly and we can settle into our Vancouver base pretty quickly once we've landed.
This seems as good an opportunity as any to introduce our travel companion. He is one of many wonder ponies throughout the country from the cancer charity: Hannah's Willberry Wonder Pony - a name that will be very familiar to those in the equine world. For those who don't know and would like to find out more, please take a minute to visit the website https://www.willberrywonderpony.org/ Emily had known Hannah from quite a young age and it is a charity that is very close to our hearts. We have named our Wonder Pony 'Exploreberry' and we are looking forward to showing him the world.
